Are PostgreSQL 8.3 and Slony 2.0.1 actually compatible? Is there a different way for installing it? Or what's wrong with > the compiling? > Thanks a lot!! I'd suggest taking a look in the file config.log, which has more details as to what's going on. Specifically, search for "checking postgres.h usability". You'll see exactly what commands configure was trying to run to check this, and that is quite likely to improve the ability to diagnose what's breaking. It's almost certainly NOT related to an "includeserverdir" issue; that *used* to be an issue back in the PostgreSQL 7.x days, when "server includes" were separate from "client includes," and it took a special option to request installing the "server bits." I'm not sure what the specific issue is; I don't have access to any Windows systems, and I expect that the issue has something to do with that. -- (reverse (concatenate 'string "gro.mca" "@" "enworbbc")) http://linuxfinances.info/info/advocacy.html Rules of the Evil Overlord #208.
