http://www.slony.info/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=252 Summary: cloneNodePrepare() stores invalid conninfo in sl_path Product: Slony-I Version: 2.0 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: low Component: stored procedures AssignedTo: slony1-bugs at lists.slony.info ReportedBy: womagrid at gmail.com CC: slony1-bugs at lists.slony.info Estimated Hours: 0.0 The cloneNodePrepare() function sets sl_path.pa_conninfo to 'Event pending'. I believe this is a bug for the following reasons... 1) All other functions seem to store '<event pending>' or a valid conninfo string containing connection parameters. 2) slon complains that 'Event pending' is not a valid name-value pair. 2011-11-22 12:40:04 GMTERROR slon_connectdb: PQconnectdb("Event pending") failed - missing "=" after "Event" in connection info string 2011-11-22 12:40:04 GMTWARN remoteListenThread_4: DB connection failed - sleep 10 seconds Despite this, it is possible to clone a node and restore its sync. My concern is that, as well as generating unnecessary log noise, this bug leaves behind an invalid and incomplete path configuration. As a result, it may not be possible to perform subsequent operations, such as revising the subscription information and paths for a cloned node to achieve cascading replication. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.slony.info/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
